Help Line

The SayFrancais Help Line is a subscription-only telephone interpretation service providing immediate French-speaking assistance to you and whoever you are talking to that does not speak English.

Subscribers to the SayFrancais Help Line can feel safe in the knowledge that they are going to be able to phone and speak to a friendly, helpful assistant who will make them feel confident in their situation.

Subscribers dial the SayFrancais Help Line number and the help line assistant will give them and whoever they are talking to interpreting assistance. The help line assistant can be passed by phone from one party to the other so that each party is understood.

The scenarios whereby you may want such assistance are varied and this is by no means an exhaustive list, but some of the examples could be as follows:-

  • you have filled in all your forms and you make a special journey to your nearest prefecture only to be asked for another bit of information – simply dial the SayFrancais Help Line number and make sure you’ve understood exactly what is required of you next time before making another wasted journey!
  • visits to the doctors/dentists – you may need clarification of what you’re being told – just dial the SayFrancais Help Line and we’ll make sure you understand and ask any questions you may have.
  • Dealing with tradesmen, avoid making special journeys only to come away with the wrong stuff or nothing at all!
  • School – any issues to do with school – we all know that one of the most important things when we move to France is making sure that the children settle in alright at school and that they are happy. If there is anything that needs talking through with the school we can do that with you when you call the SayFrancais Help Line.

Emergencies

Subscribers can call the SayFrancais Help Line number 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week for emergency phone interpretation assistance. Please read terms and conditions carefully to make sure you are legally aware of the legal limitations of the Help Line assistant.

How Does The SayFrancais Help Line Work?

The calls are charged at the rate at which the telephone you are calling from charges. There are no extra charges, except if you require the Help Line assistant to come out to you (subject to location and availability), whereby Call-Out charges will apply (see terms and conditions)

Email Access

Subscribers also have the option of emailing less urgent requests to us and we will reply within 24 hours.
